The Sunny Intervals song Cincinnati appears on the first compilation from new Swedish label Remark Records.

Remark Records is a new Swedish record label interested in indiepop, lo-fi and folk-rock music. This CD features bands from around the world, inluding Erik A Ström, The Muppheads, Hollow Nerves and Swansea Recreation Centre.

Series Two Retrospective Compilation 3

The Sunny Intervals track Falling By The Side appears on Retrospective Compilation 3 by Series Two Records.

In total there are five different CDs with 118 different artists spanning the world. CD 3, which Sunny Intervals appear on, features 22 artists from Sweden, France, USA, Italy, Spain, Germany and Switzerland, so it’s a very international afffair! Bands appearing on the CD include The Stowaways, The Blue Chairs, Mais je n’ai pas peur, Los Autofans and Dupont Circles.

Ukulele, Mekulele. Wekulele
March 2010

The second in a three-part ukulele compilation series from the cassette label Lost Tape Sounds. This cassette contains 27 tracks, including songs from MJ Hibbett, Jacob Borshard, Hermit Thrushes, Yoyoyo Acapulco, I Hate You Just Kidding, Factors Of Four, and Blanket Truth. It’s limited to 200 copies with Hawaiian blue foil tapes, a handwritten insert and a linoleum-cut block print cover.

It includes the Sunny Intervals song ‘As Summer Draws In’. Copies are available from Lost Tape Sounds


Series Two Records Christmas Compilation
December 2009

This new Series Two Records compilation includes the Sunny Intervals song ‘Winding Down For Christmas’ and 25 other songs which all relate to the holiday of Christmas in some way. Other bands appearing include And, Oh So Slowly He Turned, Later, Old Time Radio and The Legendary Ten Seconds and there’s just 120 copies.

A Layer Of Chips fanzine: Issue 3

The Sunny Intervals song ‘The Case For The Defence’ features on the CD that’s is being given away with the third issue of the fantastic free fanzine A Layer Of Chips. Other tracks on the CD include Afternoon Naps, Moogle Charm, A Smile and a Ribbon and Postal Blue.
   
The fanzine itself is also a great read. There’s interviews with A Smile and a Ribbon and Colin Clary, a review of The School, a recipe, and an article on Chat! magazine, among other things!   
   
   
Series Two Records Compilation Vol. 2

The compilation 4 CD set features 90 artists and over 300 minutes of music. It’s available as a set for 25 USD (including postage to anywhere in the world). There’s only 100 (4 CD) sets available and they will come hand numbered with separate artwork for each CD.

 There’s some brilliant and familar names on there, including Horowitz, Sparky’s Magic Piano, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, The Felt Tips and The April Skies. Susy Records is based in Peru, and they’ve put together an impressive international line-up for their first release. You may already be aware of the USA’s The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, who blew audiences away on their recent UK tour. Sweden’s Stars in Coma are another highlight, and there’s also several Peruvian bands, alongside bands from Mexico, Norway and elsewhere.

The compilation contains 12 songs in total, including the Sunny Intervals song ‘Melodies for Booksellers’, and comes in a yellow hand-made bag with a thank-you note and a Susy Records sticker!
