Another night on the town

The morning sunlight cuts my eyes in two
As we catch the doorman’s gaze
Stumble laughing to the taxi rank
Won’t you carry me to my bedroom door?
How many hours were we dancing for?
Well it felt like summer
So that’s what I’ll remember

And I don’t think I want to be around the next time you let your hair down

I think we laughed so hard I lost my voice
Or it might be those cigars
The singing and the double shots
My apartment looks a youth hostel
Cigarette stubs swim in my coffee mugs
Which was fine the
first time
So that’s what I’ll remember

But I don’t think I want to be around the next time you let your hair down
I don’t think I want to be around for another night on the town
